Karen Stephens joined BCPAG, January 2017 as a Partner and Manging Director of the North office. Prior to joining the firm, Karen served as the audit partner for Parker, Parker & Associates. She began her career as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche before joining Parker in 2000. She has extensive auditing and tax experience with not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities as well as for-profit industries including construction and manufacturing. Karen is a graduate of Lipscomb University and Leadership Sumner. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. She and her husband and two daughters live in Sumner County. She has served on many not-for-profit and Society boards and committees and is currently a member of the TSCPA audit committee.

Paul Anglin, CPA, performs tax and consulting services and is currently a Principal at the firm. He is a graduate of Lipscomb University, where he received his Bachelor of Science with honors, and received his Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has over twenty-three years of experience in a variety of industries and service sectors. He has fourteen years of experience with Deloitte and Crowe Horwath, a “Big 4” accounting firm and a top 10 accounting firm, respectively. During his previous public accounting experience, he has served a variety of industries, including manufacturing, health care, service professionals, construction, and not-for-profit, and performed many consulting projects, compliance projects, and accounting for income tax provisions.
Additionally, he served in industry for nine years at Fifth Third Bank, Nissan, O’Charley’s, and Asurion. He gained valuable knowable serving in the tax departments of these various large companies, including leading the tax department at O’Charley’s as Director of Tax. Because of his unique background, he has an understanding of the value of service needed by businesses and has a passion to help his clients exceed their needs.

Whitney earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Lee University in 2014. She is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. She actively serves with Reaching 360, a global non-profit organization that provides clean water, aide, and training to those in UnReached areas of the world. Whitney joined BCPAG in January 2017. She served clients with Parker, Parker & Associates from December 2014 until the firm was acquired by BCPAG in 2017. Whitney’s experience in accounting and auditing in not-for-profit organizations, governmental entities, and small businesses equips her to provide unique insight for businesses across various industries. Chuck joined Parker, Parker & Associates, a firm which combined with BCPAG in 2017 not long after it was founded by his brother, Steve. Donna joined Blankenship CPA Group from Yeary and Howell in 2021. She has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting has over 20 years of experience in the field. She comes to Blankenship CPA Group as an Associate in the ASG department. Her day to day duties include payroll, payroll returns, bank reconciliations, sales tax returns and personal property returns. Her specialties are bookkeeping, payroll and restaurant accounting. She enjoys being involved in her church and supporting the educational system any way she can.
Donna is a proud mother to two children. Her daughter is a successful architect, wife, and mother of two girls. Her son is a Systems Engineer, with three children. He works with a local television company and gets to travel the country. She loves to get updates on her grandchildren and visit them whenever she can. She enjoys taking time out of her day to watch the deer and other wildlife from her front porch.

Steve Pelmore Jr is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics & Finance from Tennessee State University and a Master of Taxation from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Steve is a former Army Logistics Officer. He served more than a decade including a combat tour to Mosul, Iraq. Steve worked as a Tax Compliance Officer and Field Agent with the Internal Revenue Service for more than six years. He has worked in various tax positions within public accounting prior to joining Blankenship CPA Group. Steve has earned the IRS Enrolled Agent Credential and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the State of Tennessee.

Joe is originally from Rochester, NY and received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. He has spent most of his career working in professional sports, such as working for the Syracuse Mets (AAA affiliate of the New York Mets), Rochester Rhinos (United Soccer League member), as well as in the food and beverage industry, most recently as Finance Manager for Legends Hospitality at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans. He handled finance and accounting duties related to the organizations, such as cash handling, AR, AP, payroll, and financial statement preparation. Joe received his CPA in 2020 from the State of Tennessee. He loves everything Nashville has to offer in terms of sports, music, and entertainment and cheers for the Tennessee Titans and St. Bonaventure Bonnies when it is college basketball season.

Linda joined the firm in May, 2021. as part of the former Yeary Howell & Associates. She serves as Accounting Solutions Team Leader in the Blankenship CPA Group’s ASG Department. She received her Associates Degree in Business and Commerce. Linda’s day to day duties include preparing compiled financial statements, payroll, sales tax, business tax and other tax work. Her industry specialties include fast food restaurants hospitality, retail and professional services. She serves as the Treasurer at Highland SDA Church, Oasis Family Life Center and Highland Elementary School. She also sits on the boards of these institutions as well on the Boards of the Finance Committee and Audit Committee at Highland Academy.
As a ministry, Linda works with the Zomi Refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky who desire to have a Christian education for their children. Linda has helped to find scholarships to assist with tuition, and have made connections for a small bus to be purchased to transport the students. She is married with 3 grown children. She loves gardening and collecting books, particularly Dickens, Scott, Kipling, Irving, Hawthorne and Appalachian writers such as Jesse Stewart and James Still. Alison joined the team in January of 2021 and brings over 5 years of experience in ASG work, processing and e-filing tax returns, payroll, sales tax and billing. She is very loyal and dedicated and is great with clients. She takes excellent care of them and is always willing to help co-workers, even if it isn’t her area of expertise.
Alison is a Tennessee native, originally from Hendersonville. She has been married for 14 years. She and her husband Nick have 4 children, Lauren, Natalie, Samuel and Conner. Of course you can’t forget the family dog LeRoy! She enjoys hiking and movies with the family.

Maryelene is a recent graduate from Trevecca Nazarene University earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She works primarily with individuals and small businesses, assisting in a range of capacities from day-to-day bookkeeping, to annual tax filings. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Charles Young brings 50 years of accounting experience to Blankenship CPA Group! He has been a partner in several firms: Carter & Young, Horne CPA Group, Young & Associates and Young & Proctor LLP. Charles also worked for 6 years as an IRS Agent and Group Manager! He spent many years consulting with clients, assisting with tax preparation and preparation of financial statements. His wealth of knowledge is a true asset to Blankenship CPA Group.
Charles attended Tennessee Tech College and is active with the Nashville Chapter of Tennessee Society of CPA’s which included serving as President as well as on the Board of Directors for several years. He also served on the Board and was Treasurer of the Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center. In addition he served as Treasurer of the Bluegrass County Club for 6 years. Charles served on the TSCPA’s Federal Tax Committee for 34 years! For many years he was involved with the Rotary Club as well. Charles enjoys golfing and working in his garden and time with his wife Linda and three children.
